Proud Boss announces Skull Island Tiger Prawns

Just in time for Christmas, Austral Fisheries is excited to announce the launch of our newest branded premium seafood offering, Skull Island giant tiger prawns.  This magnificent prawn has been hiding from mainstream consumers for years and is only now making a debut.  Caught on Australia’s remote northern coast, in the waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria, there really is a Skull Island, home to this magnificent seafood.  Certified as sustainable and well managed by the Marine Stewardship Council, sensitively harvested and quickly snap frozen, this delivers a truly premium seafood experience for the skilled chef or the backyard BBQ.

Supporting this launch is a short promotional video that includes the crew of the Comac Endeavour.  Skipper Dylan Prendergast and his team sacrificed a nights fishing to become ‘movie stars’ for the day whilst this was being filmed.

I could not be prouder of the sustainability credentials of the fishery or the quality of the prawn that we produce or of the people that bring this all together for the ultimate dining experience.
